Episode 11 – In this week’s hangout, Steve Coast, founder of OpenStreetMap talks with us about the past and future of the world’s open source map. James asks Steve to clarify the relationship between Nokia and Bing - where does one begin and the other end? He also asks for an update on a recent effort to get more addresses into OSM. This address data is critical if OSM is to be on the same level with commercial products, and Steve hopes that the Knight Foundation’s $575,000 grant to Development Seed and MapBox will help with this. Later in the show, Steve recounts a couple of his favorite stories about the OSM community, including a rather romantic one from Italy. Enjoy!
